A little background info on Barry

I was born and raised in Toronto and moved to London in 1988.  I’ve been married to Paula since 1989 and we have 3 very active boys who like to eat!

In 1985, I graduated from York University and have worked full-time in the Financial Services
Industry ever since.  In 1997, I obtained the Certified Financial Planner “CFP” designation.   I’ve written many financial articles for national publications and authored  “Aunt Diggy’s Guide to Retirement Planning for Canadians.”    I enjoy educating the public on financial planning and have developed and taught courses at both the University of Western Ontario and Fanshawe College.

Prior to opening my own business, I was Regional Manager for one of the world’s largest financial services companies where I coached and trained hundreds of Advisors and completed retirement and estate plans for their clients.

On a personal note, I’m an avid photographer who has photographed over 50 shows for the John Labatt Centre in my prior role as their House Photographer.  I’m a proud member of the Southern Ontario Thunderbird Club and can be found driving my 1965 Ford Thunderbird Convertible at local cruise nights.

I’m well known and respected for my retirement planning expertise and ability to translate
complicated financial concepts into terms my clients understand.  Whether you are just starting out, well established, or ready to retire, look no further than Barry Carson because I’m “The Approachable Financial Planner.”
